I live in a country with no future,
just an extended present
and an overwhelming past

Do tell me
Do tell me
O my love of old
Are his lips sweeter than mine
Or his touch softer
O my love of old
Do tell me
Or better yet
Do not
O my love of old
Are his lips sweeter than mine
Or his touch softer
O my love of old
Do tell me
Or better yet
Do not

Forever Frozen
Verdant Elysian meadows
Blossoming with spring roses await
While Bottomless abysses beckon
And arduous mountains call
But I stand here
In this numbing void
In this fabled middle ground
The fulcrum of balance
Floating…
I Close my eyes
Time stands still
And I spend a lifetime
Frozen…
In that moment
In this moment
Forever…
Blossoming with spring roses await
While Bottomless abysses beckon
And arduous mountains call
But I stand here
In this numbing void
In this fabled middle ground
The fulcrum of balance
Floating…
I Close my eyes
Time stands still
And I spend a lifetime
Frozen…
In that moment
In this moment
Forever…

Who waits
I sometimes feel the urge
To stand on the tallest mountain
And rage against heaven
Shouting: why me
Why me?
But then heaven is but a mirage
A fool’s chimera
I wish I could tear out my heart
And cast it to the wolfs
Oh how I wish I had no heart
Soulless
Devoted of feeling
A monster
Raging, hating, hurting
But all what I do is
Crying, bleeding, and loving still
How do you stop a heart from feeling
How do you pick up the threads of your life
After an eternity of love
How do you go on living
When each and every second
Reminds you of your loss
Time heal they say
And I will forget
But I do want to
It is my last link to my love
I lose that
And our story is truly over
But it is
So I let go
Like that day
When I jumped
Nothing to holding me
But she waited that day
On the ground
And I wonder who waits
Tomorrow, or the day after…
To stand on the tallest mountain
And rage against heaven
Shouting: why me
Why me?
But then heaven is but a mirage
A fool’s chimera
I wish I could tear out my heart
And cast it to the wolfs
Oh how I wish I had no heart
Soulless
Devoted of feeling
A monster
Raging, hating, hurting
But all what I do is

My catharsis
A balm to my festering wounds
A guiding shade in my blinding desert
A strait line in my endless mazes
Soothing psalms soar
Memory fades
And my aches melt away
Faster…faster
My catharsis
A purpose when none is left
My fate my own
And my life in my hand for once
None left but me
For all the others are but fading dots
Faster…faster
My catharsis
My mind focused
On a never ending point
Never reached
Never out of reach
Faster…faster
My catharsis
My soothing psalms
The balm of my wounds
My catharsis
A guiding shade in my blinding desert
A strait line in my endless mazes
Soothing psalms soar
Memory fades
And my aches melt away
Faster…faster
My catharsis
A purpose when none is left

For all the others are but fading dots
Faster…faster

Faster…faster

My catharsis

Why do you ask, why?
Why live when you must die
Why love when you must loose
When you must shun and choose
Why live when you must die
Why build when all is dust
And into dust all shall ever be
Why take a chance
When you have all to lose
And nothing to gain
Why seek peace
When all is hate and fire
And death reins supreme
Why do you ask, Why?
Because our day shall come
And on that day gods shall fall
Why love when you must loose
When you must shun and choose
Why live when you must die
Why build when all is dust
And into dust all shall ever be
Why take a chance
When you have all to lose
And nothing to gain
Why seek peace
When all is hate and fire
And death reins supreme
Why do you ask, Why?
Because our day shall come
And on that day gods shall fall

Soaking tiles
Tears stream
Heart breaks
Yet love, flickers still
Soaking tiles
Wrenched guts
But fiercely clinging to hope
Heart breaks
Yet love, flickers still
Soaking tiles
Wrenched guts
But fiercely clinging to hope

Golden Heart
Brown madness of joy
Curley spring leaves
Golden heart
Forbidden fruit
Spring comes
Forever it shall be lost
Curley spring leaves
Golden heart
Forbidden fruit
Spring comes
Forever it shall be lost

Farwell my love
Life is a series of ups and downs
A rollercoaster
Following an unseen cycle
One day all is well
The next, you think that hell might be better
Than this life
But once a feeling, a sentiment sets in
And stays
Then something has gone wrong
I have tried
And have been and will be trying still
But nothing crack your stance
You answer my efforts with silence
With distance
Coldness and a sad smile
I feel torn
But I cannot but feel
The doom that rushes in
The moment to say Farwell
Comes ever closer
snuffing all hope
Soon oh so very soon
You will have to choose
But it seems that you have already chosen
So Farwell my love
I hope your days
Will be as bright as mine are black…
Farwell

Immobile
I wonder why I stand and let life go by
I am always on the sidelines
Waiting…waiting
For moonlight that will never shine
I look, watch and time goes by
Live damn you! take part
I do sometimes I do
I made progress
The ice coffin has cracked
Yet I wait
I wait till our day comes
And when it comes gods shall fall
And I wait
Time goes by
Deadlines drop dead
And I wait

My siren's song
As I drove a needle unto my flesh
To mask my mark of shame, my mark of love
I cannot but recall how beautiful life was
And how fucked up it is
A roller coaster, life is
That ends where it starts
Soaring heights and abysmal drops
But it always ends where it starts
I move on, oblivious to what surround me
Half dead, and not alive
Flesh calls, and call it does
A call I heed, a call I shun
Flesh calls to flesh
What a song, a siren's song
I heed its call, driving a knife unto my flesh
To mask my mark of shame, my mark of love
Heeding my siren's song
To mask my mark of shame, my mark of love
I cannot but recall how beautiful life was
And how fucked up it is
A roller coaster, life is

Heeding my siren's song

Falling in love
Falling in love...
Ever wondered why it is falling in love, not ascending or rising.
Why the negative connotation?
For, in most culture, down is bad/evil, down is where hell, Ghenna or the Land of the dead is. As opposed to up where God, heaven and goodness is…
And this negative connotation taints most languages, to my knowledge it is the same in French ( tomber amoureux ) and Arabic, even though love in most religions is considered sacred or divine…
I have a feeling that this negative connotation stems more from irrational passion connotation's than that of love per say. Maybe it is more about the irrational process of getting in love than love itself…
This negative connotation almost makes the act a sin. Falling in love, falling into sin, into evil ways…
You might say it is a minor detail with no importance. But it is these details that define our language and consequently our reality, our life and how we live it…
I would have said ascending into love….

Lament for a beloved friend
Goodbye o beloved
Many a morning you woke me up
Many a morning I cursed you
O how I apologize dear friend
Your voice rang in my ears
And I cursed you
But oh I apologize dear friend
Many a day I walked by
Never looking never greeting
O how I apologize dear friend
Free at last you soar
Free from the cage we kept you in
O how I apologize dear friend
Free you were born
Wrenched out of your tree you were
In a cage thrust
But free you died
O how I apologize dear friend
My last offering you shunned
Pained you were
Still you recognized me
But I walked by forgetting our last Farwell
O how I apologize dear friend
How free you soar
How free you dream
How chained I shall ever be
O how I apologize dear friend
Farwell o dear friend
May you soar forever free
In your eternal tree
Farwell o my dear friend
Farwell
